Florence Carmela is “In The Spotlight”✨ with Jon Bon Jovi’s Soul Kitchen

“Together, WE can make a difference…. One SOUL At A Time.”

                               JBJ Soul Foundation

What can you say about a man who not only creates music that millions of people enjoy and spent the better part of their lives swooning over.  That Musician, Songwriter, and Philanthropist Jon Bon Jovi; along with his wife of almost 30 years Dorothea; have created an amazing Foundation that helps thousands of people through out The United States. The organization is The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and it is hands down one of the best Foundations out there!

The JBJ Soul Foundation assists and supports the efforts to shed light on the issues of hunger and homelessness in our country and to produce community awareness as well. It is a non profit organization that does all this and much, much more. The Foundation has helped provide assistance and support in several states across the country for so many people who are struggling, including our veterans. Jon says that his wife Dorothea should get the credit since she is the one that has been doing most of the work to make their Foundation a success.

Their overall mission is to help those who are in need of food & shelter. They currently have two JBJ Soul Kitchens that provide nutritional, hot meals to people in need in his home state of New Jersey. The meals are paid for by a small donation (whatever can be provided by the customer) or by volunteering in the Community Restaurant, to pay it forward in a positive, productive way. Recently, both Soul Kitchens locations in New Jersey, in partnership with The Murphy Family Foundation has provided free meals to furloughed Federal Workers who were in need of a hot meal.

This is truly an amazing organization! If you are looking for a cause to get behind, lend your support or donate your time and money to I suggest you look towards the JBJ Soul Foundation, their partnerships and all the incredible projects they are currently working on.

“3 Ingredient Fast & Easy Life Changing Nutella Brownies”

This should be in every single person, college age or teen’s cell phone for a quick and amazing dessert.

Mom need a break from the kids; or do you want to treat the kids? This ridiculously easy recipe is for you.

A sexy dessert for date night.

Lazy dad?   If you can’t make this, you should have to sleep on the couch. Make this for the woman you love and you can stay out of the dog house for at least a week.

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/4 cup (13 oz.) Nutella
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup nuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly coat an 8×8-inch (or 9×9) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, oil or butter.

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into prepared dish and smooth top with spatula.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Be careful not to over-bake, otherwise brownies will dry out. Let cool before cutting and serving.

Suggestions:

-They are endless. Add nuts, coconut, carob or chocolate chips. How about white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate.

-Dried cranberries or cherries or blueberries? wow.

-Another amazing addition would be to add 2 TBSP of toffee on top or in the mix. You can even top with a little chocolate ganache (1/2 hot cream, 1/2 chocolate to melt)

-Put mini morsels of white and dark chocolate on top or even melt caramel on top. Or just sprinkle a dust of powder sugar.

-You can drizzle melted dark and white chocolate on top. ENDLESS IDEAS.

-If you like cake like brownies, add 1/2 tsp baking soda. (I like my brownies gooey and fudgie myself!)

-If you really want to be adventurous, add a small pinch of cayenne pepper for a naughty twinge on the back of your throat when you eat them. Use your imagination. Wow!

Two Minute Decadent Nutella Hot Chocolate

My love for Nutella is of legend and this is a great treat during a crisp fall evening or a rainy or snowy winters night.  Make naughty editions for the adults, or add tasty treats for kids of all ages.  Make big batches or treat yourself!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tablespoons Nutella

Optional:  shaved chocolate or caramel sauce and/or whip cream to top it.  Candy canes and peppermint sticks, cognac and brandy.

Instructions:

Heat milk to steaming in a microwave or a stove top pan.  Mix the Nutella immediately into the milk until it melts.  Top with whip cream, shaved chocolate and drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce.  Warms up ANY cold night.

Suggestions:

Put candy canes or peppermint sticks in the mugs for stirrers.  For adults add a splash of cognac or brandy for a warm kick that will heat up the coldest of nights.
